Vicente Cayado Cayado representa, como pocos, una historia de superación personal y éxito en La Habana del siglo XX….hasta la llegada de la Revolución cubana. Con sólo 15 años emigra a Cuba a «hacer las américas» y tiene un gran éxito. Falleció prematuramente en 1968. Ésto es lo que conocemos de su historia…

Vicente Cayado Cayado was born in San Martin de Vallés, Villaviciosa -Asturias-, on March 13th, 1907. Being fifteen, he emigrated to Cuba to achieve a better life and he was very successful…until the Cuban Revolution. He died prematurely in 1968. This is what we know of his story…

El Independiente C.F., de Lieres, recupera su actividad tras varios años de paro. El equipo jugará en Segunda Regional y contará con una veintena de jugadores. Además, hay una nueva directiva que cuenta con Rafael Cayado (Presidente) y Braulio Cayado (Secretario).
En primer lugar, la principal dificultad a la que se enfrenta el equipo es el deterioro de las instalaciones por falta de uso. Así que, los principales retos son: poner a punto el campo, adecentar los vestuarios, cerrar el perímetro y cambiar las redes de las porterías. Por eso, han iniciado una campa de captación de socios con un importe de 20 euros anuales.

The Independent C.F., of Lieres, recovers his activity. The team will play in the «Segunda Regional» category with a twenty players team. Additionally, in the new management team, Rafael Cayado is the President) and Braulio Cayado the new Secretary.
At first, the main difficulty faced by the team is the deterioration of the facilities due to lack of use. In detail, the main challenges are: to improve the field, to clean the dressing rooms, to close the perimeter and to change the nets of the goals. To do this, they have started a campaign to attract partners with an amount of 20 euros per year.

La Fundación María José Jove, junto con Lo Que De Verdad Importa y SM, lleva a Galicia el Proyecto Tu Historia de Verdad Importa. Este proyecto tiene por objetivo reivindicar la vida de los mayores, el intercambio y experiencias y el aprendizaje mutuo uniendo a dos generaciones distintas. Hace un año se realizaron Experiencias similares se realizaron el año pasado en Madrid y Bilbao.
En primer lugar, durante seis meses un grupo de diez voluntarios compartirá el día día de diez personas mayores, con el objetivo de escuchar sus vivencias y convertirlas en un libro. Los mayores serán los protagonistas y los jóvenes voluntarios serán, en Tu Historia De Verdad Importa, los narradores. Entre los narradores seleccionados se encuentra Luis Julías Cayado, de 19 años y estudiante de ADE.
Seguidamente, la Fundación SM editará un libro de cada historia para dar visibilidad a la generación de la experiencia a través de los ojos de los más jóvenes.

The María José Jove Foundation, together with Lo Que De Verdad Importa and SM, take to Galicia the project Your Story Really Matters. This project aims to reclaim the lives of the elderly, the exchange of experiences and mutual learning by bringing together two different generations. Previously, similar experiences were held in Madrid and Bilbao.
For six months a group of ten volunteers will share the day of ten elderly people, with the aim of listening to their experiences and turning them into a book. The elders will be the protagonists and the young volunteers will be the narrators. Among the selected narrators is Luis Julías Cayado, 19 years old and an Business Management student.
Then, the SM Foundation will edit a book of each story to give visibility to the older generation through the eyes of the youngest.

El XXXVIII Festival del Arroz con Leche se celebró en Cabranes el pasado 14 de mayo, dentro del programa de las fiestas de San Francisco de Paula. Esta fiesta ha sido declarada Fiesta de interés turístico del Principado de Asturias. Durante el transcurso del Festival, la Cofradía del Arroz con Leche, otorga el título de Gran Maestre del Arroz con Leche, a aquella persona, que por su edad, acumule mayor número de premios logrados en ediciones anteriores.
Este año participaron en el XXXVIII Festival del Arroz con Leche un total de 103 arroces, 14 de ellos de Restaurantes; la organización del Festival del Arroz con Leche entregó diez premios, que fueron para:
1º Hostería de Torazo (300 euros)
2º Rafael Cuesta, de Cazanes (Villaviciosa) (200 euros)
3º Fernando Rodríguez, de Coya (Piloña) (150 euros)
4º Manuel Cayado González (Gijón)
5º Juan Redondo, de Ceceda (Nava)
6º Sergio Cayado González (Gijón)
7º Turi Fernández López.
8º Mina Batalla Noval, de Oles (Villaviciosa)
9º Esther Llaniella, de El Ferrol
10º Dulce María Fernández, de Villaviciosa.

The XXXVIII Festival del Arroz con Leche was celebrated in Cabranes last May 14, within the program of the festivities of San Francisco de Paula. This festival has been declared Tourist Interesting Festival of the Principality of Asturias. During the course of the Festival, Rice with Milk’s Brotherhood, grants the title of Rice with Milk’s Grand Master to that person who, by his age, accumulate more prizes achieved in previous editions.
